Reconnecting | A River Session story

I met Brittany a couple years ago when we connected professionally (she’s an amazing therapist and art therapist within her business Green Lotus Creative Healing).

One evening my phone buzzed, and I saw a text come through from Brittany asking if I ever did boudoir sessions for postpartum mamas. She was hoping for a session to reconnect with herself, and to bring some excitement back into her life. I remember immediately texting back how amazing of an idea that was, and I’ve been wanting to lean in more to serving mamas in a space without the kids present.

Brittany saw my offering for River Sessions in July, and she booked knowing the river was exactly where she wanted her session to be held. She wanted to step into that cool water, feel it run over her body, and release the pieces of herself to unveil the parts that needed to reappear and reconnect.

Our session was cathartic and deeply moving (even for a shorter session). I’m in awe of Brittany, in watching her step into this self, and to be the one behind the camera to help her document this new becoming. She is more than just a mama; she is a therapist, a business owner, an artist, a fierce & feminine woman.

Thank you, Brittany, for trusting me to capture this for you <3
