Welcome to the world, sweet baby girl

It is always an honor to celebrate both the pregnancy and newborn phase of life, and I was so thrilled when these sweet parents asked me to not only document their pregnancy, but capture the moments within this new season of life.

I was beyond excited when their newborn session finally arrived (and we could spend a couple hours together). We talked about life, breastfeeding, birth, pandemic, new babies, all of it.

Their home was absolutely a DREAM for a photographer; natural light pouring through the windows, beautiful french doors leading the kitchen to the dining room, a beautiful living room that made me feel as though I was stepping back through time with it’s vintage wallpaper and chandelier. Beautiful plants trailed around the home in every space where light entered, and the entire home felt magical.

We started our session upstairs, in the baby’s nursery, and my every move was watched by their 3 dogs, and the cats. One sweet pup, Fozzy, even refused to leave his mama’s side during the first few moments.

We captured moments between them as a new family, captured the essence of this new little squish (and the squishiness). We captured and celebrated a breastfeeding journey that has not been easy. We celebrated motherhood, we celebrated fatherhood, and we celebrated family. We celebrated real, unsugar-coated life, authentic moments, and genuine love <3
