Baby Wearing, Cloth Diapering, and More. | Meet local Mom-Owned shop, Bean Tree Baby

Nestled within Compass Wellness Center, in the historic downtown area of New Britain is Bean Tree Baby, a locally owned baby store specializing in cloth diapering and babywearing.

Meet Clover Heske; cloth diapering enthusiast, baby wearing educator, and owner of Bean Tree Baby.

Clover is a wonderful resource for family’s interested in cloth diapering. Within her store you’ll find fun and funky diaper prints, cloth diaper liners, wet bags, and other cloth diaper accessories.

I took a walk around her shop and wanted to share with you why I absolutely love Bean Tree Baby.

WHY CONSIDER CLOTH DIAPERS?

I remember when I was pregnant with my son, a couple good friends of mine had chosen to cloth diaper. At first I was hesitant, but then I began considering the impact cloth diapering has; on the earth and on our wallet. We purchased our first set, received liners as a gift, and began our cloth diapering journey.

There are many options (and brands!) when it comes to cloth diapering, and it can be intimidating at first to make a choice. Clover offers workshops to educate and guide families when considering cloth diaper, (to see when the next workshop is coming up, click here!)

CHOOSING THE RIGHT CARRIER FOR YOU

One of the many reasons why I love Bean Tree Baby is the one-on-one help and advice you’ll receive when choosing the right carrier for you.

This was one of the main reasons I decided to pay Bean Tree Baby a visit a couple years ago when thinking about purchasing my first Tula carrier! I was intimated by all the options online, and needed that hands on guidance and help.

In addition to helping me figure out how to use a Tula, Bean Tree Baby helped me learn how to wear my son (who was with me at the time) on my back, which is something I had always wanted to learn. I left the store feeling confident with my new carrier, with help I would never have received online.

Bean Tree Baby offers brands such as Tula, Kinderpack, Sakura Bloom, Boba, Beco, and more.

Interested in babywearing, but need a little help? Clover offers workshops and private appointments to help you learn all about babywearing. Clover also offers “Tune Up” options for those who need a refresher with a carrier they already own! If you purchased the carrier from Bean Tree Baby, your tune up is free!

In addition to cloth diapers and babywearing, Bean Tree Baby also offers teething necklaces & teethers, amber necklaces, sunscreen, body care, and teas.
