Through this art I encounter many people. People who inspire me, who’s story stays with me. People who show me true strength.

Jenna is one of them.

I had asked families if they would participate in an idea I had which involved sessions within the river. Jenna reached out and told me about her story. She told me a little about her struggles, the obstacles she and her son overcame and still overcome, and most importantly; how her and her son visit the water to heal.

There was no doubt in my mind that I needed to capture this for them. To honor their place of healing, and to celebrate their strong bond.

Our session was full of contagious laughter, big splashes, rock hunting, and sweet snuggles.
